Rolly Gassmann is a wine estate on the Alsace Wine Route, where tradition meets modern architecture. During a personal visit and wine tasting, I photographed the estate from its old cellar with giant oak casks to the light-filled tasting hall, with its tree-shaped wooden columns and panoramic views over the vineyards.
I focused on natural light, the textures of wood, glass and stone, and the calm rhythm of the landscape in spring, to capture the atmosphere of the place rather than just the bottle on the table. The result is a quiet, warm visual story about wine, place and time.
